• Earned his undergraduate degree at Ball State University

• Earned a DO medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa

• Completed one year internship at Botsford General Hospital followed by a three-year residency in pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital 

• Cofounder of Pediatric Specialists of Plano (PSOP) 

• Former chairman of pediatrics at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and Baylor University Medical Center in Frisco 

• Served on the medical board of Presbyterian Hospital of Plano

• Preceptor for the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB)
